Some of the Screening Group members reviewed the previous year's reel for VizaGoGo 18. We did this in order to get a better idea as to what this year's reel should be like in terms of length, style, content, etc. The following are the observations I made:
-Final run time: 1 hour, 2 minutes
-6 total interstitials
-First and last interstitials were the longest at around 3 minutes each
-Middle 4 interstitials were rather short, more like bumpers than anything else. About 20 seconds each
-6 total class reels, interspersed throughout. Some were good, some not so good
- 3 total summer course projects, interspersed throughout
-Student work shown in groups of 3-6, interspersed throughout
-Artist in Residence course video included
Things to find out about:
1) Where do we get Summer Course 2011 projects to include in the show?
2) Are we going to do class reels?
3) Are we going to include an Artist in Residence or "Idea Lab" video this year?
