Review VizaGoGo 17: 3/7

Some of the Screening Group members (David Monroe, Chris Potter, and myself) reviewed the reel for VizaGoGo 17 from Spring 2010. This was a continuation of our study from last week in order to get a better idea as to what this year's reel should be like in terms of length, style, content, etc. The following are the observations I made:

- Final run time: 1 hour, 7 minutes
- Started out with a video from the summer course
 - 5 total interstitials
- Interstitials averaged to around 1:30 each.
- There were bumpers before each interstitial indicating a separation from student work.
- The bumpers were done very effectively, and added to the reel.
- 8 total class reels, interspersed throughout. Some were good, some not so good, but done better than Vizagogo 18
- 4 total summer course projects, interspersed throughout
-Student work shown in groups of 1-4, interspersed throughout
-Artist in Residence course video not included, but video about summer course was
-End credits had behind-the-scenes photography of filming interstitials, and this added alot to the credits. Very effective.

Things to find out about:
1) How are we going to include class reels?
2) Are there any other video "extras" that will be included this year?
