DUTIES:

17) Breakdown of Screening equipment - 20%

19) Created catalog images for Web catalog
3 THINGS THAT WENT WELL:
1) the screening event went amazingly smooth, no serious mistakes and there were plenty of people to help out willingly and cheerfully
2) Juries went well, no complaining and work was juried fairly
3) Creation of screening reel went smoothly: interstitial handoff deadlines were kept and reel was finished with time to spare before the event.
3 THINGS THAT DID NOT GO WELL:
1) Class reel guidelines were not followed. A number of people told me that they wish some of the class reels had had explanations so they could understand what was going on. The class reels that had audio explanations were successful, the ones that didn't were not successful.
2) Sometimes class felt like it was only for the working group leads. The "minions" didn't seem to get as much love as the leads did and therefore didn't feel class was as beneficial to them.
3) Sometimes I got bored in class. I think ice cream and cake would have helped liven things up. :)

UPDATE 4/8
-Reviewed David's reel draft, gave approval.
-Spoke with Jared regarding length of interstitial time. Will discuss more in class.
-Wrote up and sent out email over VIZA MSGS regarding VizaGoGo submission guidelines. Will send out again every week leading up to deadlines.
-Spoke with Garrett about needs from Technical Group. He will keep Screening updated on any needs on his end.
-Emailed Glen about DVD costs, he only says they need the one DVD, which they will provide.
-Assigned Chris to the duty of handling consistency of class reels, and contacting and giving the professors that information.
Things to bring up:
-Surveys after show?
-DVD case and insert covered by whom?

Divying Out Responsibilities - 3/26
This week I took advantage of having a few underlings under my wing and doled out some responsibilities. I charged Chris Potter with contacting every faculty member and determining whether or not they would require space in the screening for a class reel. I charged David Monroe with creating a screening reel draft that would help us figure out the timing and pacing of our reel thus far. I will then look over the draft, making changes where necessary.
